Music Store Live is proud to offer up this absolutely gorgeous Ken Taylor signature bass with an exotic buckeye burl top. This was one of the basses that Sandberg brought to the NAMM show in early 2020. While there, it did see a little bit of playing time and received a small battle scar. But it still plays like a dream, sounds like an absolute powerhouse, and is now available with a discount to land at a killer deal for this monster of a bass. The buckeye burl top and birdseye maple fretboard (with beautifully complementing white pearl blocks) combine to give your eyes a whole lot to look at from top to bottom on this beauty.
The double humbucker design provides a wealth of tonal versatility. A 3-band EQ gives you plenty of on-board control and flexibility over your sound while the mini-toggle lets you go from powerful humbucking sounds to airy single-coil tones. You can get a P-bass on steroids tone out of this, a power J-style sound, a passable StingRay style of tone or, just run everything at full power for a tone that will cut through any mix and is both punchy but also warm and round at the same time.
One of our favorite things about every Sandberg we've ever received is their playability. This one is no different. The neck is nothing short of sheer perfection, the fretwork is immaculate, and the overall build quality is absolutely divine.
