Along with a unique finish, this bass has a different pickup position placement that is better suited for the Loller Thunderbird pickups for definition and precision in your notes, whether played clean or with some dirt on it. The bass has a look and a sound of its own compared to anything else in the Sandberg lineup.
This bass oozes rock n' roll. The tone of the Lollar pickups is thunderous. Fat and punchy, these pickups have a classic tone that sits well in a mix. If you've got loud drummers and distorted guitars to contend with, this bass will seat you right were you need to be in the mix and your notes all remain punchy and defined. Along with the killer tone, of course, is the Sandberg playability. The feel of Sandberg basses is one of the main reasons they've become a shop favorite. They really put their time and care into the construction of this instrument and it's immediately evident. From top to bottom there is meticulous attention to detail.
Jason Lollar is one of the best pickup makers in the world. The crew over at Sandberg make some of the best basses, too! You put those together and there's really no way it can go wrong. For something that'll really rock, this is definitely going to be a great addition to any bassist's arsenal.
Note: This bass has Sandberg's lightest level of relic treatment, the Soft Age, which will give it a very light distressed appearance.
