The Peavey Cirrus 4 packs quite a wallop without leaving your wallet dry. This truly feels and sounds like a high-end bass, despite the reasonable price tag. A 35" scale length adds some tension to your strings for a super punchy tone with loads of growl to it. Quiet electronics with powerful and hot output make this an awesome studio bass as well as a killer live axe. Despite the longer scale length, the neck is still super comfortable to play and even if you make your living strictly on the 5 lowest frets, you'll have a crazy tight and punchy tone without having to worry about hand fatigue. If you like flying all up and down the neck, you'll feel right at home on this as well. The big, fat humbuckers are packed full of power and provide a meaty and thunderous tone which is emphasized by the unique combination of tonewoods. The plate on the back of the headstock helps increase the headstock mass without throwing off the balance of the bass. The result is incredible sustain and a fretboard which has no dead spots anywhere on it. The quality of this instrument (and the fact that it comes with a hardshell case) is thoroughly impressive at this price point.

The Cirrus basses features alder wings, a bubinga top, and a neck-thru mahogany-maple neck. Peavey VFL™ active electronics provide +/-12dB of boost/cut for the bass, midrange, and treble frequencies, while the rock-solid milled bridge anchors the 35" scale instrument. Made from a combination of maple and mahogany, the neck is very stable. Its 35" scale length delivers a strong attack with a strong fundamental. This is a great design for lowered tunings. The dual active Peavey VFL humbucking pickups give the Cirrus 4 a powerful voice with a wide range of dynamic possibilities. The 18-volt preamp offers controls for volume and pickup blend along with 12dB of boost/cut for your bass, midrange, and treble frequencies.
