The S2 Singlecut Standard is a classy, versatile instrument that radiates that inimitable PRS attention to detail. It has a warm, woody tone with a focused midrange that makes this guitar a perfect match for a huge variety of styles. The natural balance and clarity of this instrument will help it sit in the mix quite nicely whether you're carving out a solo or laying low beneath a singer. I love the feel of the neck and fingerboard - the folks in Maryland have done a great job making sure this axe has that coveted PRS feel. There's just enough tension on the strings and the fretwork is precise. Rock-solid hardware and a great finish top off the package. This PRS S2 Singlecut Standard is finished in McCarty Tobacco Sunburst. It features a mahogany neck with a Pattern Regular profile, a rosewood fretboard, dot inlays, a 25" scale length, and the same fret wire that's used on all of the PRS Core line of guitars. The S2 #7 humbuckers sound amazing and will please PRS players from any era. These pickups are wired to a 3 way blade switch, two volume knobs and two tone controls that double as a push / pull coil taps. The PRS Stoptail bridge makes for easy string changes and simple adjustments. Some other stand out features on this axe include nickel hardware, PRS S2 locking tuners and an S2 gig bag.
Manufactured in the US, the S2's are offered at an affordable price point. This line of guitars uses some of the very same components found on PRS's most expensive models, and they're all put together with that exacting precision that defines high-end PRS guitars.
