When Ibanez and Andy Timmons paired up to design his signature ATZ100, they already knew what the foundation of the build was going to be. All they had to do was figure out how to improve where they felt the designs of yesteryear were lacking. A roasted maple neck not only feels amazing but improves the rigidity of the wood so you can spend less time tweaking your truss rod and more time playing. Stainless steel frets keep your tone nice and bright and allow you to use whatever strings you want, and do as many bends as you want without having to worry about chewing up your frets. DiMarzio's The Cruiser pickups produce all of that shimmery single-coil tone we all know and love while eliminating some massive annoyances. The bass response is tightened up and emphasized a bit, and you also never have to worry about bending past the magnet or worry about the magnet pulling on the string. The result is improved sustain on your bends. The Wilkinson-Gogoh tremolo bridge has vintage roots but has addressed any intonation issues to a point where you can wail away on the trem and it always snaps right back to pitch.

Made for the gigging musician with traditional tone but modern-day practicality in mind, this guitar is perfect for on stage or in the studio.

The combination of DiMarzio® The Cruiser® pickups deliver single-coil tone, open vocal-sounding mids and a bit of added strength to the bass. These pickups also relieve players of string drop-outs and sustain-killing magnet pull.

Wilkinson®-Gotoh® VSVG tremolo bridge

The Wilkinson®-Gotoh® VSVG tremolo unit features smooth arm action and the unique design of its elongated baseplate screw holes help promote accurate pitch return by eliminating binding. Its locking bent-steel saddles provide a vintage tone and feel.

Smooth taper volume filter

A smooth taper volume filter maintains the guitar’s high frequencies at low volumes and provides more uniform tone from 1 to 10.

Oil-impregnated Bone nut /Stainless Steel Frets

The Oil-impregnated bone nut provides superior tuning stability and warm rich resonance. Stainless steel frets boast excellent corrosion resistance. The wide and tall fret-type offers a quick response, good articulation when playing chords and clear tone when playing single notes.

S-TECH WOOD Roasted Maple fretboard w/Black dot inlay

S-TECH special roasted treatment provides a superior attack and a well-balanced tone and a rich sustain. In order to achieve supreme neck grip comfort, the fretboard edge is finished with a smooth curve.

Gotoh® Magnum Lock machine heads w/H.A.P.(Height Adjustable Post)

The AZ comes with GOTOH® MAGNUM LOCK® machine heads, which have an established reputation for tuning stability. Its H. A. P® (Height Adjustable Post). system allows for the adjustment of string posts for the appropriate tension of each string.

Luminlay side dot inlay

The Luminlay side dot position marks make it easy for players to see fretboard position marks when performing on dark stages.
