The Ocean Beach Digital DB-1 Drawbar Controller is the only product of its kind, designed from the ground up specifically to complement Nord keyboards. It already knows how to send the correct drawbar commands for every Nord, so it's very simple to set up and configure.

We used a mid 1950s Hammond B-3 drawbar handle as the model for our custom knob and preserved the B-3s spacing and travel distance.

The DB-1 is also MIDI-bus powered, so no external power supply is required.

There's even an extra set of MIDI jacks and a built-in MIDI merger, so you can still connect to the rest of your MIDI gear to your Nord.

Using a PC or MAC, the DB-1 can also be configured to send any MIDI CC on any MIDI Channel, with simple dropdown menu selections for a long and expanding list of keyboards.

Firmware upgrades are always free and can be found in the support area of the website. 

Take it out of the box, set the selector switches, and it will add real, sliding drawbars to any of the following Nord keyboards: 

  • all Nord Electros (Electro, Electro Rack, Electro 2, Electro 3, Electro 4) including HA variants

  • all Nord Organs (C1 and C2)

  • all Nord Stage keyboards (Stage, Stage EX, Stage 2) 

It's also a very powerful device. Using a PC or Mac, it can be configured to add drawbars to a long and expanding list of keyboards and virtual instruments:
