Music Store Live is proud to offer up this Ball Family Reserve Music Man StingRay 5 Special. Finished in a gorgeous ginger burst sparkle finish over a lightweight oukume body, this bass not only sounds and looks incredible, but it's under 8.5 lbs! That's unheard of for a 5-string StingRay! 

The playability, as you'd expect, is top-notch. The fretwork is spot on and the action, right out of the box, is nice and low. Even though this is a 34" scale 5-string, the B-string remains tight and punchy. The killer construction quality is matched up with tried and true electronics that give you a 3-band EQ as well as series, parallel, and single-coil pickup options. You end up with a lot more versatility than might be expected out of a single-pickup bass.

Only 89 of these were made for worldwide distribution, making this a truly unique and special piece to add to a collection.

Manufacturer's Description

This Limited-Edition Stingray 5 Special features a lightweight Okoume body with a custom Ginger Burst Sparkle finish. The sparkle finish has been applied to the body, back of neck and headstock to give a more uniformed sparkle appearance. Equipped with dual alnico humbucking pickups, 3-band EQ and 5-way switch, this bass delivers all of the familiar Stingray punch along with a variety of coil voicing options. Other key features include Schaller tuners, chrome hardware offset by a black plastic pickguard and switch tip.  Limited to 89 pieces worldwide.
