This bass plays phenomenally well and the neck is an absolute joy to play on. Whether you're just hanging out down in the first position and grooving your way through the night or if you fly all up and down the neck performing bass acrobatics with your fretting hand, this Jabba will make everything just that much easier for you. The playability is off the charts and with a classic P/J pickup configuration, there are few genres you can't make this beast fit into.
The neck pickup gets you anywhere from a traditional P-bass tone with the pre-amp disengaged to a modern and hi-fi take on that same sound. The bridge pickup has all of that bark and growl we love so much from players like Jaco, but it's hum-canceling so you won't have to worry about any unwanted noise. The Mayo preamp is subtle enough that it won't really allow you to dial in any sort of bad sound, but it's also powerful enough to really allow you to change your sound up, on the fly, without ever having to turn to your amp and fiddle with those knobs.
This is a great working man's bass that has all of the boutique and high-end feel to it but with a sound that's going to be familiar for players that lean a little more towards a traditional vibe.
