Music Store Live is proud to offer up this Mayones Aquila. New for 2020, Mayones decided to add a more traditional body shape to their offerings. While it's hard to say that this is a "vintage" looking instrument in any way, it definitely has a decidedly different tone than most of their other metal and shred-oriented guitars.

The build quality is every bit what we've come to expect from Mayones - masterful from top to bottom. The fretwork is incredible and the recessed trem bridge allows for freakishly low action. But what really sets this apart is the tone! The Aquila has some Lollar pickups in it which definitely have more of an old-school vibe to them. The volume knob is a push/pull so you can split the bridge pickup or run it in full humbucking mode, depending on what you need. 

Finally, there's a Mayones offering for guitarists that don't necessarily want to melt faces with their scorching overwound tones but prefer something a little more tame for a bluesy or cleaner sound. With that said, this is definitely not your father's S-style guitar. The wenge neck and ebony fretboard will give this a distinctly punchy tone with a tight bottom end (our favorite!)

Simply put, they've nailed it!
