The Duncan HR-101 Hot Rails located on the neck and middle paired with the Duncan HB-103B Humbucking bridge pickup gives this economical axe the power to rock socks off with deafening sound. The clean lines and white/black contrasts that make up this design really catch the eye. The neck on all Jackson X series have a compound radius that makes it so much easier to destroy single notes closer to the body while comfortably giving you a slightly rounder fretboard to grip chord positions in down close to the nut. The 24 jumbo frets and the dark rosewood fingerboard make hitting notes a pleasure. Lots of room to roam on this neck. 3 pickups and a 5 position switch, yes please! The select power trio of Duncan Designed™ pickups; two high-output HR-101 Hot Rails single-coil pickups in the middle and neck positions are matched to a powerful HB-103B humbucking bridge pickup for complementary harmonic response and highly dynamic responsiveness. Master volume and tone controls, along with a five-way blade switch control the formidable pickups’ output, making their power yours to command. A stylishly contoured body and pure Jackson neck-through-body construction ensures ergonomic comfort during long sets along with monstrous sustain and smooth playing all the way up to the 24th jumbo fret.
