The sound of the Quantum pickups are powerful and clear, and have a surprising amount of boldness and ferocity for a "budget" instrument. The Wizard III maple neck is built for speed, comfort and stability. Your hands are free to blaze along, lay down a heavy riff in the low or take a simple melody and Vai-ify it with some bizarre vibratos and expressive, unorthodox bending techniques. And of course, no Vai guitar would be complete with the Tree of Life inlay on the fretboard.
