Player's Perspective

Music Store Live is beyond thrilled to welcome Heritage to our lineup of boutique and high-end guitars.

Let's be honest, the big 'G' company these days just isn't what it once was. There, I said it. But these Heritage guitars, on the other hand, truly are the real deal. Their motto is "the world's finest American-made musical instruments" and we cannot find any reason to refute that at all. The company was started by guys that came over from Gibson's Custom Shop and they wanted to continue the tradition of handmade, high-quality instruments as the company moved towards more and more CNC and having robots do all the work.

Aptly named, Heritage guitars carry on the tradition and true spirit of some of the most iconic guitars in the history of the electric guitar. The build quality is sheer perfection. The fretwork is immaculate. The tone is vintage and incendiary at the same time. And, overall, it instantly feels like an old friend that you're reconnecting with. Rest assured, these are no copy-cat instruments. In a lot of ways they're the most authentic representation of most people actually think of when they think of a guitar of this style.

For the die-hard Les Paul fan out there, this is going to be up there with the best ones you'll have ever played. It has all of the best characteristics of a vintage LP without being quite as heavy as some of those old boat anchors used to be but without sacrificing sustain or tone through weight-relieving measures. It's no featherweight, but then again, it wouldn't sound as thunderous and powerful as it does or so rich in resonance and sustain, if it were. They've struck the perfect balance here between using some dense pieces of wood but also making this a gigable option that won't break your back.

Versatile and ready for the studio or the stage, this is a guitar that will sound like a piece of rock n' roll history with playability and quality that will likely surpass even the most discerning expectations.

Manufacturer's Description

The guitar features a solid carved figured maple top sourced from Michigan, a solid one-piece genuine mahogany back, and a genuine mahogany neck that features beautiful mother of pearl trapezoid inlays. The solid wood construction (non-weight relieved) means maximum sustain and tone, while the thick figured maple top reflects sound pressure.

The H-150 comes with Seymour Duncan 59 humbuckers. They provide a warm, thick tone and are wax potted that allows for minimal microphonic feedback. So whether you’re jamming in a basement or performing in arenas, they are great and suitable for playing nearly every genre.

All in all, the H-150 is perfect for someone looking for a guitar with loads of sustain, a familiar feel, and a warm, thick tone, and is a must-have addition to every guitarist’s arsenal.
