Player's Perspective
The ASAT HH RMC offers classic ASAT comfort with modern electronics. It's built for anything that needs to cut through a mix with that humbucking warmth, punch, and growl. Clean, it'll work for everything from pop rhythm parts to jazz leads, and distorted you can shred away on everything from searing single note lines to riffing out down low. It's also a great blues machine, with those thick and creamy mids that make bends feel great. The feel is familiar G&L comfort: a cozy neck shape with a breathable finish for a smooth ride all the way up and down. The dual fulcrum vibrato on this allows for anything from light tremolo flutters to wailing dive-bombs.
Special Features
The G&L ASAT HH RMC (Rear-Mounted Controls) takes the iconic ASAT into humbucker territory while retaining the feel and playability that have made the ASAT a perennial favorite among players. Essentially a fusion of Fullerton and Kalamazoo, the HH RMC features G&L Alnico humbuckers housed in swamp ash body. An innovative G&L Saddle-Lock bridge transfers string energy efficiently and provides sustain for days. The familiar ASAT feel continues with a hard-rock maple neck and upgraded block inlaid rosewood fretboard. The neck is sporting an easy-playing satin finish, comfortable 9 1/2" radius and Jescar 57110 medium-jumbo nickel-silver frets for silky playability.
