  • Medium C Neck Shape - 1 5/8” nut width sits right between the traditional P and J bass widths, and Leo offered this nut width in the ‘80s. Generous edge roll with a medium depth and taper from 0.820” at 1st fret to 0.940” at 12th fret. These specs were part of the #11 and #12 necks.

Made right in their factory in Fullerton, California, these Fullerton Standards offer you the incredible craftsmanship, playability, and tone of a USA Custom, but at a lower price point since it is not a custom build. This is a great way to scoop up a USA-made bass while still keeping some green in your pocket.

The LB-100 made its debut some 20 years ago continuing Leo Fender's legacy. The idea is simple: It's a slightly upgraded version of a classic, tried and true design. Picture the familiarity and ease of its predecessor, but with improved comfort and balance, better note definition and longer sustain. Organic and direct, the sound is the perfect one-size-fits-all bass tone. Lay foundation for every other instrument to stand on and hold the groove, or step out in the mix and cut through like a chainsaw with that upper-mid grind and growl. The body carve contours nicely to your body, encouraging multi-hour practice and playing sessions. G&L has dialed in the fretboard just right. You can expect a smooth ride all the way up with a balanced and breathable neck feel. The Caribbean rosewood looks beautiful, comes with some stunning figuring, and sounds very similar to pau ferro. It still has all of that warmth that is associated with rosewood but has a tiny bit of extra brightness and snappiness to it.

This is the perfect bass for anyone who plays several styles of music and needs a reliable bass that'll hold up and sound great night after night. Tonally this is definitely steeped in the traditional 60's sound, but has some modern touches that improve playability and adds some definition to the sound.

Manufacturer's Description

The G&L LB-100 made its debut twenty years ago in response to bassists asking for a subtle evolution of the p-style platform. With a slightly streamlined body shape for improved comfort and balance, the LB-100 also brought the G&L Saddle Lock bridge for richer note definition and sustain. In the late ‘90s tastes were changing and the popularity of the p-style platform waned, and the LB-100 was discontinued. 

While the tone remains unchanged, thanks to a faithful recreation of the original LB-100 Alnico V pickup wound in-house at G&L, playability is enhanced with Plek fret processing making this LB-100 the best yet.

Made in Leo Fender’s historic G&L facility on Fender Avenue in Fullerton, California, the LB-100 is now available with a wide range of custom options including body and neck woods, body and neck finishes, neck profiles and pickguard materials.
