With unparalleled playability, righteousness of tone and impeccable aesthetics, this Tele delivers in every conceivable way. The semi-hollow body harkens back to the days of hot rod rock n roll and has a unique sound. With the new S-1 switch you can go between single-coil and humbucking pickup wiring on the neck, really making this an extremely versatile Tele. The all new compound neck defines what fast on a Telecaster can mean - it's like bottled lightning. Strings bend easily in every position and play perfectly in tune all over the neck. The new 4th gen single coil pickup rings like a bell and doles out a heaping portion of traditional tone with an exciting new twist. The Shawbucker in the neck gives a rich, thick, and warm tone, but can also be split for a sharper and more traditional single-coil vibe. Mimicking the pickups, the body is at once traditional and familiar as well as a bit more comfortable than you might be used to. The mahogany body provides some wonderful warmth to the sound that pairs really well with the bright attack of the maple neck and fretboard. Fender has capitalized on what has made the Telecaster the iconic tone machine we know and love and added to it some subtle yet greatly beneficial technological enhancements.

Not only are we dedicated to conscientious sourcing of tone wood to craft our instruments, we're constantly searching for alternate woods and materials, including rescuing wood that otherwise may have languished on the forest floor. A departure from Fender's traditional tone wood choices, the 2017 Limited Edition American Elite Mahogany Tele Thinline tempers the traditional Tele bite with the rich sound and warm look of mahogany. Over the course of its journey from the forest floor to the player's hands, this body wood has weathered natural disasters, acquiring more than a little mojo along the way.

The 2017 Limited Edition American Elite Mahogany Tele Thinline is loaded with a single 4th Gen Noiseless single-coil Telecaster bridge pickup and a fat-sounding ShawBucker Special Wind humbucking neck pickup (coil-splittable via the S-1 switch) for noise-free, high-output tone. The Elite Suspension Bridge is a unique design; a screwless mount increases the vibration transfer, driving the top for nearly endless sustain and lively response. The compound-profile neck sports a 9.5"-14" compound-radius maple fingerboard, ideal for most playing styles, and topped by 22 medium jumbo frets for a familiar feel.
