We're stoked to present this gorgeous Fender Custom Shop American Custom Telecaster! Many know the Fender Custom Shop for cranking out incredible vintage reissues and amazing "Relic" guitars, but here's a unique case where they elevated the vintage Telecaster platform to new heights with a more contemporary mindset.

Featuring a pristine "NOS" Honey Burst finish on a beautiful piece of ash as well as a breathtaking AAA Birdseye Maple neck with abalone dot inlays, this guitar can be somewhat considered as the luxurious Custom Shop version of the American Professional II and Ultra Telecasters. There are definitely some similarities it shares with those two production models, including the modern locking tuners, headstock truss-adjust, compound radius fretboard, and contoured neck heel. These are much-appreciated similarities, as these modern features are some of the most useful and high-end Fender has to offer and are definite utility improvements over vintage spec. However, the similarities end there - this is a uniquely extravagant Custom Shop masterpiece, through and through. 

It features a Large "C" neck reminiscent of vintage instruments, a nitro lacquer finish and vintage-accurate hardware appointments that call back to the the classic 1950s Telecaster, including absolutely incredible handwound Custom Shop '51 Nocaster pickups that have all the Tele punch, twang, quack and warmth you could ever want. The '51 Nocaster pickups are among the best vintage-faithful pickups in the FCS pickup catalog, if not the best. The neck pickup on this model features a unique open-coiled look, which also provides a more open and clear tone than a regular covered Tele neck pup does.

Take a classic Fender® Telecaster®, deck it out customized player-centric features, the finest hand-selected figured woods and custom hand-wound pickups, and you have the American Custom Telecaster. The two-piece select ash body features a contoured neck heel and an NOS nitrocellulose lacquer finish. A one-piece 3A birdseye maple neck features a ’54 “soft-V” profile, 9.5”-12” compound-radius fingerboard, bi-flex truss rod with headstock adjust, abalone face dots and 22 medium jumbo frets. Both hand-wound Loaded Nocaster® pickups—including the open-top neck pickup—are overwound with #44-gauge wire for rich Telecaster sound, and Fat ’50s wiring yields powerful tone with a transparent bloom. Other features include a three-ply parchment pickguard, strap locks, Fender staggered locking tuners, bone nut, and American Standard string tree. Includes deluxe hardshell case, strap and certificate of authenticity.
