If you're looking for a lifelong singlecut 7-string electric guitar but with a longer scale than the 24.75" you often find on this shape, you need to check out the E-II Eclipse-7. Thanks to the simple and unbeatable combination of a nice chunk of mahogany and stellar electronics, the sound can be biting, raw, smooth or rich, depending on how you dial it in. It can do metal, snarling blues and heavy rock in a cinch, but it also cleans up nicely.
Perhaps the best thing about this guitar is the combination of an effortless fretting hand feel alongside rock-solid build quality. The Evertune bridge guarantees perfect intonation and the impeccable craftsmanship allows you to dial in very low action. It's ready to take abuse, but you barely have to move your hand to play it. Created at the ESP facility in Japan, the E-II Eclipse-7 EverTune is a finely-crafted guitar that offers a unique and powerful set of components designed for serious musicians. It’s a 7-string guitar that features the EverTune constant tension bridge, a fully-mechanical system that keeps your guitar in tune in nearly every imaginable environment, and keeps your intonation perfect at every point on the fingerboard. The E-II Eclipse-7 EverTune also includes a set of phenomenal pickups: a Seymour Duncan Sentient in the neck position for wide dynamic range and excellent articulation, and an aggressive Seymour Duncan Pegasus in the bridge that's highly responsive and harmonically rich, with push-pull coil splitting. This guitar is a set-thru neck design at 25.5” scale with a mahogany body and maple cap, and a one-piece mahogany neck with ebony fingerboard. Top-tier components include a bone nut, Schaller straplocks, and Gotoh locking tuners. Includes ESP hardshell case.
