The neck pickup is a big step forward, as are the dual push/pull controls (a high-pass filter and a coil tap). Sleek and comfortable as ever, the body has a way of molding into you as you play it. The neck is lightning fast and precise, with a consistent feel in every register. This JS2450 model is finished in a high gloss jet black muscle care paint job. The neck pickup is a JS series first: It's a DiMarzio Satch Track humbucker. It works wonders for the low end, especially when you're using a lot of gain. It'll get punchy rather than muddy. The bridge pickup is a DiMarzio Mo' Joe - perfect for heavy riffs and searing leads. Ibanez's Edge bridge has a subtle update: The UltraLite Tremolo bar is a little smoother and better behaved than a classic trem arm. The volume knob is also a push/pull hi-pass filter, and the tone knob doubles as a push/pull coil-tap. Ibanez and Satch have updated some of the wood as well: The body is alder for a punchier sound, and there's a bubinga stripe in the neck for added stability and sustain.
