The Suhr Modern series of guitars are designed for... well, you guessed it... the modern day player who's not afraid to deviate from the vintage tones of old and needs something with a bit more edge to it. Want a hot-rodded axe that can melt faces and is comfortable enough to shred on until the sun comes up? Here you go!
We went with the SSV, V63, and SSH Plus pickups in this one to allow for some versatility, while still giving it a distinct character and voice. The addition of the middle pick up helps introduce some more strat-like tones to the mix. The pickups are balanced enough to sound wonderful clean and yet they also have enough power behind them to remain distinct and articulate when introduced to high gain or distortion. The swamp ash body on this one will help to provide a bright tone that is complemented by the maple neck and fretboard. The satin finish on the roasted maple neck is divine! The playability is off the charts and the tone can go from lush and warm to face-melting and scorching hot very easily.
If you're looking to turn some heads with your tone as well as with the looks of your axe, this guitar will suit you on the big stage, in the studio, or at home jamming with some buddies. Either way, it's not a guitar you're ever going to outgrow.
