Tonally, it's completely in its own class. It has the clarity and articulation that PRS is known for, but it also has the warmth, dynamic responsiveness, and mellowness of a good jazz box when you need it. It can sound bright, snappy, and spanky, or you can make it sound like you have flatwounds on it without having to actually re-string your guitar. Play a rock n roll song and follow it up with something jazzy without ever switching guitars!
 
The combination of the electronics in the guitar, the maple top and back with mahogany sides, the hollowbody design, and the overall construction of the guitar create a focused and detailed tone rich in harmonic content. Distorted sounds gain a refreshing new depth coming out of this guitar. They cut with a crisp liveliness, but fade out with the gentle resonance you'd expect from an acoustic. Clean, this guitar can do pretty much everything. It rolls off wonderfully for dark sounds, but it can also brighten up without being shrill or piercing. The hollow construction also shaves off a few pounds, so you can play it for hours without getting tired. Couple that with the incredible fretwork and overall craftsmanship of the guitar and your hands, neck, shoulders, back... Your entire body will feel the joy of playing this guitar.
