Our most recent cherry-picking from PRS's in-stock list rendered this Custom 24 with some of our favorite PRS pickups! The 57/08 pickups in this give it a decidedly vintage vibe and sounds like a more refined version of the coveted PAF pickups of yesteryear.
The majority of Custom 24's, these days, are coming with 85/15 pickups. But if you're looking for a beautiful PRS Custom 24 that doesn't sound quite as modern or aggressive, then this is it! This is the one you want! Additionally, the push/pull tone control and 3-way toggle switch allows you to get some different sounds than the 5-way blade switch found on other Custom 24's. With this configuration you can also have single-coil neck, bridge or both neck and bridge single-coils. The 5-way blade only gives you 2 different single coil + humbucker options. So this is great for the player looking for a PRS that can also pull off a snappier and twangy sort of T-style tone.
The pattern thin neck keeps playability a breeze and flying up and down the neck is truly effortless. The neck is made even more perfect by the simply impeccable fretwork on this guitar. Previously undiscovered musical ideas will jump off of the fretboard with this guitar. There's a very real thing that can happen when you pick up a guitar that is just so inspiring that it makes you a better player. This is one of those special instruments!
