Locally built, right here in California, this guitar wails! Of course, the first thing you'll notice is cool multi-color design from the combined skateboard decks that make the top. This is purely aesthetic, but boy does it look cool. Where the trucks for the skateboard used to be, they have filled in the holes with mother of pearl for a subtle, but super cool extra touch. Other than that, don't let this righteous design fool you, it's an alder body, maple-necked, bolt-on 25.5" scale guitar. It's probably safe to say we're all pretty familiar with that feels like. The real question is: Just how good does this sound? And just how well does this play? And the answer to both is: It sounds awesome and plays incredibly well. The fretwork and overall build quality are superb.
The McNelly P90's have a vintage vibe to them and they can really sparkle when run clean and slice through a mix when overdriven. These are full-powered P90's that can handle clean as well as distorted tones with ease. The combination of the McNelly pickups and the Emerson paper-in-oil cap electronics creates a sound that is tight and punchy with the ability to get really bright or really bassy without ever getting muddy or having that harsh ice-pick brightness to it.
Item Details
Prisma Guitars creates one-of-a-kind guitars made from the wood of used and broken skateboards. Every skateboard is made with seven color-dyed plys of hard rock maple pressed together. Once the material is worked with, the guitar's color pattern emerges. Each guitar is handcrafted in San Francisco, CA. The Syndicate is built to be a more familiar traditional body style whilst still bringing in some of our own Prisma vibe. P90s, paper-in-oil cap, and wrap-around bridge makes this guitar sound crunchy.
Overall Condition
Our in house guitar tech has inspected, tested, set up, and cleaned all of our instruments on site prior to shipping. All of our instruments are guaranteed to be fully functional upon arrival.
