Music Store Live is very proud to offer up this Mayones Hydra 7-String Headless Guitar. With a gorgeous curly walnut burl top on there, this is another unique and one-of-a-kind offering from our friends over in Poland. The figuring on this top is stunning, but your eyes continue to have plenty to gaze upon as you work your way up and notice the intensely figured birdseye maple fretboard which has been tonally enhanced by a process that Mayones does which helps crystalize the resins int he wood as though it had been played for 30 years already.
This guitar is aggressive and super fast to play and if you're not careful, it could just bite your head off, too... The irony, of course, being that a Hydra is a many-headed serpent from Greek mythology. This guitar, however, is headless. Easy to transport (especially on airplanes) and easy on the shoulders and back, there are some definite advantages to the slimmed down and sleek design concepts in this guitar. Blazing lead licks up and down the fretboard are a real breeze while complicated chord shapes are still easy to get every note to ring out perfectly. Even if this is your first foray into the world of extended range guitars, you're likely to feel right at home on this bad boy. The neck is extremely comfortable, the pickups are hot and in-your-face, and the construction is absolutely flawless... All it needs is a master to tame the dragon.

THE NAILBOMB HUMBUCKER IS THE PERFECT SYNERGY OF OLD-SCHOOL AND MODERN ROCK TONES IN A HIGH OUTPUT HUMBUCKER WITH ALNICO V OR CERAMIC OPTIONS FOR THE BRIDGE PICKUP.
From hot, fat blues rock through to aggressive thrash, the Nailbomb explodes with a strong and commanding voice. Contemporary players will take advantage of the full bore reaction of the pickup on full tilt; older school players will enjoy the range of classic tones and response using the volume pot to clean up.
The Nailbomb neck humbucker has a woody and bright character when used clean; add overdrive and the tone tightens up for a focused and precise attack.
