Music Store Live is very proud to offer up this Skervesen 7-string Shoggie guitar.
This guitar is aggressive and super fast to play and if you're not careful, it could just bite your head off, too... But if you dare challenge this headless horseman, you'll find it easily conquerable and it may well become your new best friend. Easy to transport (especially on airplanes) and easy on the shoulders and back, there are some definite advantages to the slimmed down and sleek design concepts in this guitar. You also don't need to use double-ball-end strings with this. You can continue to use your favorite strings.
Blazing lead licks up and down the fretboard are a real breeze while complicated chord shapes are still easy to get every note to ring out perfectly. Even if this is your first foray into the world of extended range guitars, you're likely to feel right at home on this bad boy. The Pau Ferro/Wenge neck feels absolutely incredible and provides some nice punch and also warmth to the sound. The fanned frets really are easy to get used to and require a very minimal adjustment period if you aren't already accustomed to them. The payoff, however, is huge! Every string is at the proper tension, intonation is improved, and overall playability becomes effortless.
Combined with the single-cut design, the Miracle Man pickups help provide a powerful but tight and punchy bass response. These pickups are extremely hot and perfect for colossal metal tones. Surgically tight bass, huge lo-mids, and smooth upper mid-range response produce an accented hi-end with a thoroughly percussive feel. There's some nice natural compression that helps with single-note definition and keeps your tone precise and focused.
