Player's Perspective
This Limited Edition Strat made out of exotic woods is a fine-tuned and slightly warmer sounding version of the American Professional series. While still being able to delve into vintage tones of old, the new V-Mod pickups really are a cool upgrade that allows the guitar to also tackle some more modern sounds with great success. The bridge pickup has a bit more richness and warmth to it which helps get rid of that ice-pick sound that vintage Strat bridge pickups could sometimes have. The guitar feels incredibly familiar and as soon as you pick it up it's like being home again. The treble-bleed cirtuit and new pickups, however, really make your ears perk up as you play through an amp and realize that Fender is not just sitting back on the laurels of their success but rather are truly continuing to pioneer the industry and pump out high quality, innovative offerings at all price points. The okoume body will have plenty of top-end snap while adding a bit more mid-range presence as well.

A departure from Fender's usual tone wood choices, the 2017 Limited Edition Shedua Top Stratocaster tempers the traditional Strat sound with the rich sound and warm look of an okoume body and shedua top. The okoume body has a snappy, highly dynamic attack while the shedua top adds a delightful accent to the instrument's voice.
The 2017 Limited Edition Shedua Top Stratocaster is loaded with three of our brand-new V-Mod single-coil pickups. Voiced specifically for each position, V-Mod pickups mix alnico magnet types to produce powerful, nuanced tones with original Fender sonic DNA. Retain high end clarity when adjusting the volume controls, thanks to the new treble-bleed tone circuit that lets your tone shine though in all its glory. The new modern "Deep C"-shaped neck profile feels just right in your hand while the narrow-tall frets make it easy to bend strings accurately and play perfectly intonated chords.
