Player's Perspective
ESP's E-II series guitars blend the unsurpassed quality of high end ESP models with the accessibility of the LTD line. They're immaculately built, professional-grade instruments ready for the stage, studio and road.
This axe isn't about reinventing the wheel. It's about taking a classic metal design - dual humbuckers, Floyd Rose, fast neck - and pulling it off with custom-shop level quality and attention to detail for well shy of 2K. The neck is fast, the body is sleek and the fretwork is immaculate. ESP did a great job dialing in the feel of the upper register. The fretboard has a kind of natural springiness past the 12th fret, perfect for expressive leads with lots of distortion. You can get away with a full step bend on the 24th fret on this guitar, and it always snaps right back to tune. High-quality pickups top off the whole package. If you're on the hunt for the last metal or hard rock guitar you'll need to buy, this one should be on your radar.
