The Starplayer TV DLX is Duesenberg's most popular model. It's oozing with a classic and vintage vibe while still looking rather elegant and sophisticated beyond what you can find anywhere else. Whether it's subtleties like the clear pickguard or more obvious features like the beautiful diamond inlays and uniquely Duesenberg hardware. This guitar is a thing of beauty, and that's only scratching the surface.

As with every Duesenberg we've gotten, the playability is off the charts. The neck is extremely comfortable (they all share a similar neck shape) the fretwork is just so incredibly precise that it's really quite something to behold. Every not resonates and sustains so clearly and with an articulation that can sometimes get lost in a hollow or semi-hollo design. While there is still a ton of warmth to the sound, there's also a pleasant brightness to it which really balances out the sound beautifully.

The Vario-Tone circuit is perhaps the coolest part of this guitar. It does not work like a traditional tone circuit that just cuts out treble and high-mid frequencies as you roll it back. It actually shapes your tone subtly, but in a really unique and incredibly musical way by emphasizing certain frequencies and cutting others. This is a favorite tool of session artists around the world for its ability to dial in a wealth of ready-to-use sounds that require nothing more from the sound engineer's end. It's almost like having a fine tuner on your tone.

There's a reason so many professional guitarists go to Duesenberg in the studio and on stage. These guitars are particularly favored by studio engineers and recording musicians around the world. They're easy to get great sounds out of, they play effortlessly, and they're quiet in all of the ways that they need to be. Manufacturer's Description

The Starplayer TV DLX is a semi-hollow, dual pickup, 22 fret electric guitar, featuring arched top and flat back, bent sides, twin F-Hole construction, and a 647mm scale.

Following the tradition of vintage German guitar building, we select Spruce as our choice wood for the top. When you turn the guitar around, you will see that we chose flamed maple for the back and sides, which slightly shimmers through the translucent finish.

The DLX is fitted with our classically wound GrandVintage humbucker for the bridge position, giving you clear and balanced tone in any situation. The neck position sports our D-Tron humbucker, which is known for its distinct sparkling voice.
Each pickup can be individually modified with our Vario-Tone controls, which allow you to scoop certain frequencies out of the signal, giving you endless options to personalize your tone.

All our instruments are fitted with our own hardware, which you will only find on a Duesenberg. We design it with attention to even the smallest details to create truly unique instruments from tuner buttons to jack plates.

All our fretboards are carefully plek'd and finished by hand for optimum playability and the smooth feel they are famous for. For the DLX, we chose a unique kind of fretboard inlays, called Diamond inlays. Additionally, the DLX features our Radiator Tremolo, the brother of our highly successful Diamond Deluxe Tremola.

The Starplayer TV DLX is available in a stunning Crimson Red and also a deep High Gloss Black.

The DLX is amongst our most desired instruments. 

D-TRON HUMBUCKER:

This Humbucker delivers the famous base-tone you know from legends like Chet Atkins or Brian Setzer. The low impedance coils are fitted into a Humbucker housing while a thick Alnico magnet provides the needed output and sparkling trebles.

GRANDVINTAGE HUMBUCKER:

A balanced premium Humbucker with an even frequency band and a classic voicing.
Developed and fine-tuned for years - now a benchmark for a classic and raw humbucker tone.

The GrandVintage is used in many of our guitars. It became famous and celebrated under the hands of many world class acts as a tone master in the bridge position of our Starplayer TV model. It has its roots in the classic PAF type pickups but ups the game with an open German Silver cover for unrestricted treble response. We also added special high-quality components for the baseplate and coil wire - we think you're going to love it!
