From top to bottom this is a killer design and one smooth playing and smooth sounding axe! The neck pickup has a sound similar to some of the best P90's I've ever heard. It produces a very percussive attack and has a massive dynamic range. It's perfect for the player that likes to really use their fingers (or pick) and playing technique to manipulate the tone. The best part is that, without losing any of that authentic single-coil characteristic, Duesenberg managed to make this pickup dead quiet! No extra hum or noise to get in the way of your beautiful tone. The bridge pickup pairs well with this as it's a vintage-voiced humbucker with some jangle and chime to it.
The construction of this guitar is nothing short of perfect. The semi-hollow design with the sustain block gives you the best of the semi-hollow world without sacrificing the resonance that you can get out of solidbodied builds. The slight natural mid-scoop of guitar gives it a very warm and sweet sound loaded with harmonic content while having plenty of brightness on tap to help cut through a mix and stand out as well.

Manufacturer's Description
Following the established Duesenberg essentials, we use spruce and maple for the Elite's main body parts. The arched spruce top is combined with bent sides and arched back made from flamed maple and is perfected with a deluxe 5-ply cream binding around the body. As with almost any other Duesenberg, the Elite sports a one-piece neck made from American Hardrock Maple which is fitted with a 12" Rosewood fretboard.
The Elite also shows a unique pickup combination, which opens up a new range of Duesenberg driven tone. For the bridge position, we took our GrandVintage Humbucker, giving you great transparency and warmth right out of the case. This pickup is accompanied by our SingleTwin Domino noiseless single-coil at the neck, providing you with just the right mix of attack and open tone you would expect from a classic P90 type pickup.
All our instruments are fitted with our own hardware, which you will only find on a Duesenberg. We design it with attention to even the smallest details to create truly unique instruments.
All our fretboards are carefully plek'd and finished by hand for optimum playability and the smooth feel they are famous for.
Additionally, the Elite is fitted with our Radiator Tremolo, giving you smooth operation and improved tuning stability. Last but not least, we topped it all with some beautiful real pearloid accents with the pickguard and the headstock.
The Elite is available in an elegant High-Gloss Black and a stunning metallic Catalina Blue. The headstock on both instruments matches the overall design character of the main body color.
