You know you're doing something right if the legendary Joe Walsh goes up to you and says "can you build me a guitar?" And not only that, but it's such a great guitar that he agrees to slap his name on it and of all the companies out there building guitars, he chose to work with and trust Duesenberg. That's pretty darn cool if you ask us.
As soon as we pulled this guitar out of its perfectly molded case we all had to take a minute just to admire the way it looks. The classic black and gold combination is going to be the perfect amount of flashy without being over the top. The gold sparkle pickguard and mixed nickel and gold hardware really tie everything together. The morse code inlays are a subtle nod to Mr. Walsh. We think this is much cooler than what some other signature models have, which is a giant signature from the artist on the front of the headstock. We'll let you decipher the code for yourselves.
Getting into the sound and feel of the instrument is perhaps the best part. First of all, it's 7 lbs. and perfectly balanced! This has got to be one of the most comfortable guitars we've come across. Super light guitars can sometimes have neck dive issues, but not this beauty. It just sits around your shoulders in perfect playing position. And when it's this light, and built this well, with action this low, and playability this easy... Well, you'll just want to keep on playing and playing.
The tone is incendiary. The neck pickup sounds like a refined and enhanced P90. It's chimey and airy while still being punchy and articulate. A great choice for lead lines rich in harmonic content and oozing with emotion. Flip to the bridge pickup and you can sizzle away with just about any amount of saturation you want to play with. The LittleToaster is bright and will really stand out in a mix.
Life's been good to Joe Walsh, and so has Duesenberg Guitars. This is a must-have for any die-hard fan, or even just if you're in need of one of the most unbelievably comfortable guitars you've ever strapped around your shoulder.

We are proud that for the first model of this brand new Duesenberg Series we had the honor of working together with one of the most remarkable and influential musicians of our time.\
In alliance with Joe Walsh, we developed an instrument which not only meets Joe’s requirements for tone, looks, and playability but which is aimed to also fit the taste of many other guitar players out there.
The instrument features numerous different details connected to Joe’s style or history. The fretboard inlays spell his name in Morse code, referencing his passion for radio operation.
Being a serious guitar head himself, he also likes to mess around with the hardware of his guitars, often resulting in weird hardware finish mixes, so, for this reason, the hardware of the Alliance Joe Walsh is a mix of nickel and gold.
The instrument will be available in a beautiful classic Gold Burst or solid Black finish. According to the main color, the instrument has a Fullerton Elite Style headstock front in either Gold Burst/Brown or Black/Pearloid.
The Tibetan Knot on the top between both pickups is a symbol of very personal meaning to Joe which he also carries as a tattoo. The guitar features a thin body profile measuring only 3.5cm/1.37″, a regular Duesenberg mid D profile Neck and medium Jumbo frets.
A Duesenberg LittleToaster pickup delivers transparent treble tone in the bridge position and the state-of-the-art noise-canceling Duesenberg SingleTwin Mini gives clear classic neck sounds in any situation. The guitars are equipped with our own Radiator Tremolo which we customized with a golden grill.
