But this version adds a Floyd Rose bridge, locking nut, and PRS's hottest pickups. The result is a scorching hot axe that blends unsurpassed PRS quality with more shred-happy freedom, a perfect combination for a lot of players. This instrument is particularly impressive for its ability to retain a distinct, well defined tonal identity regardless of the volume or amount of gain. This is also aided by the use of ebony as the fretboard wood to give it a bit more brightness and a balanced mid-range. Push the distortion all you want - it'll still sound like itself, and you'll still sound like you with lots of clarity and articulation. Dial the gain back and clean it up and you'll see this guitar is still musical enough to sound beautiful while perfectly clean as well. The Core Custom 24 "Floyd" is equipped with the time-tested Floyd Rose "Original" tremolo system and PRS's \m/ (metal) pickups (uncovered). The Floyd Rose "Original" tremolo and locking nut tuning system is a double-locking design precision-made from high quality steel. This design combination allows players to lock the string at the nut and at the bridge to keep the guitar in tune even during the heaviest dive-bombing sessions.
