Music Store Live is proud to present this Music Man Ball Family Reserve Axis! This guitar was clearly designed to never get in the way and to simply let the player play. With just one volume knob and one 3-way pickup selector to worry about, the guitar gives you everything you need and nothing that you don't. This one, in particular, was put together by Music Man's finest luthiers in the Ball Family Reserve department. There are only 48 of these in the world so chances are you'll never run into someone else with the same guitar as you have.

Its smooth contours and seamless composition are immediately impressive the first time you pick it up. Continuing with the idea of staying out of the player's way, this guitar is incredibly comfortable and balances perfectly. There's no neck dive, no weird spots on the body that jab into your forearm, upper fret access is a breeze... it's just built to shred. The body sits more than comfortably and the neck profile and joint combine to forge a truly inspiring feel and playing experience. The control layout remains simple so that you may focus your attention on your playing and not on a barrage of tweaks and turns. This guitar was designed with a grip it and rip it approach and it does an excellent job of providing that.

The tone of this axe is full and clear while providing a perfect starting point for the player to color their sound depending on amp and pedal preference. The Axis is a terrific guitar for a variety of genres including rock and hard rock, fusion, funk, metal and jazz. Sounds great clean, or pushing the front end of an amp with some distortion! It always seems Music Man puts a bit of extra care into their BFR instruments and this one is an excellent example of just that.

Limited to just 48 pieces worldwide, this BFR Axis features an exclusive opaque black back and sides and a beautifully bookmatched and highly figured Butterscotch Burst flame maple color. The cream binding on the body is matched by a cream binding on the neck. The neck is roasted and made of highly figured maple. Also setting this Axis apart from production models is the ebony fretboard with pearloid inlays and zebra humbuckers with gold pole pieces. Each guitar comes with a numbered certificate of authenticity and hardshell case.
