If you know anything about our shop, you know that we like purple guitars. And also if you know anything about our shop, you know that we're all absolutely crazy over these Anderson guitars. This one came out stunningly beautiful and is designed to rock hard while still providing a versatile tonal pallet of musical sounds to choose from.
The SC1 pickups are wound a bit hotter than traditional vintage style single-coils but they are by no means overwound and high-gain pickups. They still have a lot of that open airiness that vintage single-coils are known for while packing a little more of a punch. Then in the bridge we went with an HC2 which is a balanced humbucker with medium output. In short, this is a guitar that can get you passable vintage tones while absolutely excelling in more modern applications. The ziricote fretboard will give you a similar tonality to ebony, but we love it because it has some cool figuring to it that helps further add to the uniqueness of this beauty. If you need to tackle heavily distorted sounds one minute and then achieve clear and pristine cleans the next, this bad boy can easily do that. The neck is a perfect mix of slim without being paper-thin. The even-taper neck shape is smooth and, combined with the compound radius of the fretboard, allows for effortless playing wherever you happen to be on the neck. The fretwork is immaculate and the recessed tremolo allows you to drop the action really low without having to worry about fret buzz (of course, that'll also be dependent on how hard you strum). We gave this bad boy a floyd rose locking tremolo so you never have to worry about your strings going out of tune when using the whammy bar. This really is a swiss army knife kind of guitar with the kind of playability that is nothing short of angelic and divine.

Guardian Angel's pickguard is specifically cut as to nuzzle its neck pickup nearest the 24th harmonic, for the richest “24” neck tone obtainable. You may like to call it, 24-fret neck-pickup magic.

SC 1: Slightly more than vintage level, single coil sound, humcanceling (great for neck and middle application).
HC 2: Our other most popular humbucker, perhaps. Who wouldn’t love a medium-hot output package with all the vintage flavor firmly in place, wound to create a full bouquet of tonalities? Muscular mids with a smattering of lush and soft highlights so it is impressively musical, with never a hint of that “oops, I accidentally sat on a duck,” tone. Beautiful from all tonal angles.
