Make no mistake about it - this guitar wants to shred your face off for you. The EMG 707 pickups are highly responsive and pump out some serious tone with a perfect mid-range that keeps you present in a dense mix without having to worry about getting muddy. The guitar will hit the front-end of your amp hard and sounds articulate even when saturated with the thickest distortion you can think of. Two-handed tapping on the fretboard is a breeze when you can get action that is this freakishly low without getting any fret buzzing. The neck is comfortable enough where playing chords down in the first position all night long will feel just as comfortable as if you were playing something with only 6 measly strings on it while giving you that extended low-range that will leave even your bass player impressed. Meanwhile, the stainless steel frets allow you to bend as much as you want, all day and all night, and you won't have to worry about eating away at them. It'll be ages before you ever have to worry about the condition of stainless steel frets. The compound radius ensures that you'll be comfortable regardless of where your left hand is on the neck. A simple master tone and master volume control with a 3-way pickup selector is all you need to coax out some thick, rich, and in-your-face tones out of this beast.
