The R2 is a pure rock machine. Along with the unique looks of this bass comes incredible fretwork and tone for days. The 35" scale is perfect for bassists that want to tune down from the standard EADG tuning or perhaps even string this up BEAD. Or just leave it in standard tuning and get all of the benefits of an extremely tight and punchy low-end. The single-coil pickups have that crisp top end that J-style basses are known for but these have a bit of extra mid-range to them as well that help keep them defined and punchy, especially when you add some dirt to the tone.

The R2 bass is a well balanced, lightning fast, and thunderous-sounding bass with a narrow neck taper and ergonomic body cuts to ensure the greatest playability with the best sound, and unmatched looks.

D-J PICKUPS

Wound slightly hotter than vintage spec, with Alnico 5 magnets. The result is a great midrange added into that distinct J tone. Lots of punch and attack, with lots of grind when put in front of a little dirt.
