This guitar was built specifically for NAMM and, along with all Mayones', has the most meticulous attention to details. From top to bottom, the guitar is immaculate and plays like a true example of some of Mayones' best work. There's no doubt their consistency and craftsmanship is top-notch, but you know they're only bringing the best of the best to the NAMM exhibit, so rest assured you'll be getting an exemplary guitar in this axe.
The Bare Knuckle pickups are hot and a bit like a caged animal that wants to rip your face off. So I suppose that makes you the lion tamer! The guitar can purr or growl depending on what you're looking to do with it. The bolt-on neck construction provides a bit more top-end sparkle and spank than it's Regius counterpart. The bright sounding ash body construction provides a sparkle and top-end shimmer that really helps the notes stay clean and defined while slicing right through any mix. Any potential sustain that may have been lost as a result of the bolt-on is regained by the use of the string-thru fixed bridge. Intonation is always perfect and you can feel the entire guitar resonate from top to bottom against your body. It's super resonant acoustically and can sport ultra low action without any fret buzzing. The addition of a Piezo in the bridge helps give the guitar ultimate versatility and provides you with a killer acoustic tone to go along with the face-melting magnetic tone.
