The Excel SS has asserted itself in the world of semi-hollow guitars. A 15-inch-wide single-cutaway, the SS is equal parts warm and punchy. Perfectly balanced Seymour Duncan 59 Humbuckers provide savory tone—including coil-tapping push/pull tone knobs for single-coil sparkle—while a slim C-shape neck profile offers maximum comfort. Now featuring an ebony fingerboard for archtop articulation and remarkable sustain.

Ebony Fingerboard

With a bright edge for greater articulation and smooth sustain, an ebony fingerboard now graces the Excel SS. Featuring a modern radius and medium jumbo fretwire from Jescar for unparalleled tone and control.

Grover Imperial Tuners

Grover Imperial tuners inspired by vintage D’Angelico’s from the 40s and 50s ensure consistent and accurate tuning with a 16:1 gear ratio.

Seymour Duncan 59s with Coil Splitting

Equal parts rich and clear across the tonal spectrum, USA Seymour Duncan 59 humbuckers offer vintage-inspired tones and remarkable articulation. Paired with coil-splitting push/pull tone knobs for maximum versatility.
