Music Man's Bongo bass doesn't really resemble anything else on the market. For startes, the aesthetics of this bass were designed with the help of the BMW design team. It's not a tweaked version of a popular design; it's a completely new and different instrument with powerful electronics and wonderfully bizarre looks. This Bongo bass has a basswood body with a special firemist purple finish. The neck is maple, and it has an opaque satin finish that provides a velvety smooth fret hand feel. The axe's fretboard is rosewood, and it has 24 high profile wide frets with an 11" radius and half-moon inlays. For pickups, this bass has 2 Music Man humbuckers with neodymium magnets wired to a 4-band active preamp. The on-board EQ has knobs for volume, treble, hi-mid, low-mid, and bass. Other great features include custom Music Man lightweight tuners with tapered string posts and a black pickguard. The Bongo is a radical design that doesn't skimp on providing the goods.
