Player's Perspective

Behold the Flip-top bass amp of DOOM! This recent brainchild of Ben Verellen is an absolute tone monster and a true force to be reckoned with. The lows are downright thunderous and, even with the bass EQ knob pulled out for lower lows, they remain super tight and articulate. Pushing the clean channel hard starts to add just a touch of scrumptious tube compression and warm overdrive. Stomp on the footswitch, active the overdrive channel, and hold onto your behind! The overdrive is potent and can go from subtle to extremely aggressive and heavily saturated very easily. The overdrive sounds awesome! Even when the OD is absolutely cranked, the notes you're playing can not only be felt, but are still articulate enough to be heard with definition.

This could easily be the one amp to rule them all. It's a "must-have" for any serious studio. You can get old-school vintage tones, modern and bright hi-fi sounds, subtly overdriven tones, and in-your-face overdrive of doom all with a few simple knob turns. Dialing in a good sound with this amp couldn't be easier. The amp just sounds so darn good on its own that there's really no way to get a bad sound out of it. When we got the first one of these in and tested it out, everybody's jaws were instantly dropped to the floor. To further add to its awesomeness and great versatility, this combo sounds great with guitar going through it also!

This 100-watt amp puts the company’s flagship Meatsmoke preamp into a flip top bass combo.

The Meatflip has foot switchable clean and overdrive channels. Controls include Volume, Overdrive, Bass, Midrange, Master Volume, and Overdrive Master. It’s fitted with an Eminence 15-inch speaker and a Jensen transformer coupled XLR DI output.
