Music Store Live is proud to present this Suhr Classic JM Custom Shop guitar! We've been hearing from you for a few years now that you'd love to see us carrying Suhr guitars. Well, we listened!
We had the opportunity to take a trip to the Suhr factory and hand select all of the woods to be used for a select run of custom shop guitars for our inventory. The latest contestant has entered the ring... and it's looking like a real winner! This guitar is absolutely gorgeous from top to bottom. A beautiful burl maple top and gold hardware along with a super comfortable neck shape and impecable craftsmanship make this one very easy on the eyes and on the hands.
But how does she play? The word "flawless" comes to mind.
The neck is a very comfortbal profile and it is lightning fast. It's not toothpick thin, but also would hardly qualify as big and chunky. It's very much a happy medium kind of feel. The Aldrich pickups are a classic combination for Suhr that provide a bit of edge and a whole heck of a lot of versatility. If you're looking for classic twang, you can absolutely get that. These pickups are rooted in vintage sounds. If you're looking to rock out with a bunch of gain and overdrive, well this baby can easily handle any of that as well. The notes remain clear, distinct, and articulate in clean or distorted tones.
One of the coolest things about this guitar is how responsive it is. The notes seem to just come alive and the response is extremely fast. You can feel the snap that this guitar has and everything is tight, focused, and punchy. Though a bit difficult to explain, this guitar has an extremely fast reaction time. The attack of the notes is strong and the sustain lasts, seemingly, forever. Even wailing away on the tremolo, the sustain lasts for days and the intonation never suffers.
This is a true masterpiece and work of art... An extremely playable work of art that sounds like a choir of angels (but like... badass angels, of course)!

This custom shop Classic JM offers a TonePros TP6 bridge that will help the guitar hold its sustain for days. The Aldrich pickups sound like a modern interpretation of PAF pickups. The mahogany body and neck add some warmth and nice mid-range punch. Gold hardware accents the guitar from top to bottom along with the gorgeous burl maple top.
