Music Store Live is proud to offer up this PRS Singlecut 594 in a classic black gloss finish with smoked black hardware. Tonally, this is a Singlecut 594 through and through, but we wanted to give it a unique look. The smoked black hardware, pickup covers, and black pickup rings really give these an edgy look that breaks the traditional mold just enough without trying to reinvent the wheel. We just wanted to add some "badass" to some of our favorite traditional singlecut appearances. These will be available in Gold Top, Antique White Top, and Black Top.

After Paul Reed Smith befriended and picked the brain of guitar pioneer Ted McCarty, the first PRS McCarty models came out in 1994. They incorporated many of the subtle but essential build techniques that Ted used to create some of the best electric guitars the world has played. After a brief hiatus from the core PRS lineup, the McCarty is back. Along with a double-cutaway version, PRS is now also offering a singlecut version of the new 594 guitar. It's a straightforward but effective design that embodies that classic mahogany body/dual humbucker sweetness with slinkiness from the shorter scale length. All in a body shape that will be familiar for Les Paul enthusiasts and single-cut players alike. The back is a little thicker for increased tone and sustain, and two of Paul Reed Smith's best new vintage pickups pump out radiant sound in every register. This is a player's axe that's built to be played day after day, but it's also an important part of the electric guitar's history. 

The McCarty family of guitars are born from passion and precision: built passionately to embody vintage tone while utilizing the precision of PRS's modern manufacturing techniques. The McCarty Singlecut 594 joins that tradition with a familiar feel and warm, vintage tone. Meticulously spec'd with a 24.594" scale length, Pattern Vintage neck carve, 58/15 LT pickups, tweaked Phase III locking tuners with modified collars and set screws, and a two-piece zinc bridge, the McCarty Singlecut 594 gives musicians the keys to the esteemed tones of vintage guitars in an instrument that won't fail them. The black smoke hardware, pickup covers, and black pickup rings are not available to order on a CORE McCarty Singlecut 594. They are unique and exclusive to this run of Music Store Live Wood Library guitars.

The McCarty Singlecut 594 was originally developed by the PRS Private Stock team and released as the November 2016 "Guitar Of The Month" before becoming a mainstay in the production line.
