Normally these are only available on the Artist Package guitars which end up running significantly more expensive. As if that deeply figured quilt maple top wasn't enough to get you drooling, spin the guitar around and check out the neck on this beauty. The flame maple neck on this is drop-dead-gorgeous. Painted in a matching Trampas Green, the flame maple neck will add a bit of brightness and high-end sparkle to the traditional Custom 24 tone. It pairs very well with the swamp ash body of the guitar for those looking for a Custom 24 that can also get some Strat and Tele-like tones out of it on top of the quintessential PRS sound. The set up is, well, perfect. The action is low, the neck is straight, the intonation is right on the money and this guitar plays like butter on hot toast in every position. The Pattern Thin neck is as fast as they come and the laser beam accurate fretwork makes any style of music a joy to play. This axe can cut any gig in the world. Period. The tremolo system is to die for and you can get some of the most desirable sounds you can think of with the different pickup configurations so you can get the most out of the 58/15 pickups. The Custom 24 is the quintessential PRS guitar. This iconic instrument was the first model that Paul Reed Smith brought to the public at PRS Guitars’ first Winter NAMM show in 1985 and has been a top seller ever since. Played by internationally touring artists, gigging musicians, and aspiring players, the Custom 24 features PRS’s patented tremolo system and PRS 58/15 treble and bass pickups with volume and tone controls and a 3-way pickup selector switch with push/pull tone control for coil splitting. The 58/15 pickups have a more vintage and slightly underwound sound to them.
