Known for their shredder guitars, Mayones designed the Regius line to have a little more of a traditional vibe to it, while still having unique Mayones aesthetics. For a super cool touch of uniqueness, the birdseye maple pickguard is actually under the finish of the guitar. It feels and looks really awesome and allows Mayones to use multiple styles of figured maple on the top of this beautiful work of art. The birdseye maple fretboard is very heavily figured and the multi-binding look really helps put the ribbon on this entire package.
This guitar has a very familiar pickup configuration that provides tons of musical tone options. Bare Knuckle pickups are some of the highest quality hand-made pickups that you can get. These are no different! You can still hit the front end of your amp hard with this and you can use that bridge pickup to its fullest to get loads of distortion and saturation in your sound while still remaning defined and articulate. But this guitar also sounds amazingly smooth when played with a clean tone. The neck pickup oozes creaminess and has a beautiful warmth to it. Whether you like the quacky and spanky sinclecoil sounds of strats or want something a bit more hot-rodded out, this can knock it out of the park in either case. The craftsmanship, of course, is out of this world and the level of precision is simply immaculate.
