Manufacturer's Description

The M-Audio BX8 Carbon's 8” woven Kevlar low-frequency driver and 1.25” natural silk dome tweeter delivers the enhanced imaging, flat response, and absolute clarity that you need for a true, professional mix. Class A/B, bi-amplified 130-Watt power means less noise and more efficiency, so you can monitor all music styles easily. When you use the BX8 Carbon, you can rely on your mix's universal result, able to play back true and balanced in any listening environment.

Acoustic Control

Even the best monitors and the best engineers need the help of the essential room-monitor match. Mixing decisions are dictated by the listening environment as well as the listener, so it ultimately influences your music. The BX8 Carbon works with a series of calibration tools called Acoustic Space Control, which helps provide optimal acoustic conditions for tracking, mixing, and monitoring anywhere. These tools make it possible to adapt the BX8 Carbon to any mixing environment—from basements to bedrooms to professional studios—without compromising stereo image or frequency detail. Flexibility is a must for different listening environments, so you can now easily assure your monitor's accuracy.

Sweeter Sweet Spot

The tweeter provides superior stereo imaging and an expansive sweet spot. A wider mix position gives you professional monitoring for any caliber studio. Pinhole-mounted LEDs actually change brightness as you adjust placement to help you locate the sweet spot and ensure that your speaker placement will optimally translate all stereo information and frequencies properly. When the LEDs are at their brightest, you know you've arrived at dead-center, ready to start mixing or laying down tracks.
