Player's Perspective

People start to look like their pets, and I think the same goes for guitars. Maybe it's just me, but this Joe Satriani signature guitar from Ibanez actually resembles Joe Satriani. I think it has to do with how shiny and round it is. No offense, Joe - it's just that we feel comfortable enough around you to be honest. After all, most of us probably wouldn't look at the guitar the way we do if not for you.

All of those mind-melting solos and all of that beautiful, scalding tone wouldn't have been the same without Joe's partnership with Ibanez. This new JS140 offers authentic Satchitude for under the 1K mark. The neck is lightning fast and the pickups are versatile, hot and aggressive. Saturate the signal with gain and you'll still hear the individual character of the pickups come through. Rock solid hardware and stripped down aesthetics top off the package.

Special Features

Ibanez's JS140 sports some incredible features that'll get you surfing with the alien, but you'll still have money to buy the alien kettle corn when you're done. The one piece maple neck is super fast and comfortable, with complete upper register access. The neck pickup is an Infinity humbucker - a slim humbucker, that is - and the bridge is a Quantum. The tone control is also a push/pull coil tap for the bridge pickup, and the Edge Zero II bridge will let you get away with just about anything.
