Few guitar effects can compete with the warmth and richness of real tape delay, which is why we're so pumped about the Catalinbread Belle Epoch Tape Echo. It's as close to the real thing as you're going to get in a pedal this size. The delay itself is dynamic and lush, perfect for adding a Gilmourish dimension to your solos, beefing up rhythm parts or getting your Edge on. But this pedal does more than add some repeats to your signal. You can expect a slightly warmer yet still transparent tone that cuts through the mix more gently than a dry signal. With 80 to 800 ms of delay time, this pedal also has a "mod" knob that lets you control the "flutter" effect that happens with real tape echo. Leave this knob fairly low for the most authentic tape tone, or crank it up for some exciting new sounds.
