If you haven't heard of Rock n Roll Relics, you've got to check these guys out!
Built with passion that you can hear and feel, with a clear regard for the tradition and the nostalgia that made us all want to pick up the instrument in the first place, Rock n Roll Relics are cranking out some of the finest hand-made aged instruments on the market with that worn-in and vintage feel. This version of a classic P design has all of the refinment of a new hand-made instrument but with all of the mojo and look of an instrument that has seen its fair share of time on the road.
The neck is a classic P-bass shape but the radius is a tad flatter than a modern Fender (only by half an inch) but it tends to give just a little bit of an easier feel when playing. The fretwork and overall construction is simply outstanding and the bass really thumps while still allowing for very low action. Whether you're going to slap some big ole flatwounds on there and go for that James Jamerson style of tone or you want to leave some bright rounds on there for an awesome rock n' roll sound, you'll be able to do all of the things a P-bass is known for, but with an instrument that simply feels like it was built by a master luthier.
Whether you're a gigging musician or just a hobbyist, the Vicious bass is a valuable arrow to add to your quiver. There lots of P-bass options out there and even among them all, this one really stood out when we first got it in the shop.
