This bass is a classic. It has a tremendous resonance, incomparably tight lows and a punchy top end that's a total knock out. The neck is very comfortable and satiny smooth, which makes for a comfortable feel and a fast ride all the way up and down. It has more of a jazz-neck vibe than the StingRay does. This is one of those instruments that's put together well enough to let you feel every little vibration of every note you play. The layout is easy to work with yet provides a wide variety of exceptional tones.

This is for the bassist who wants all of that classic StingRay growl but with an even fatter sound and smaller body and neck. It borrows from plenty of bass designs to create one complete and unique instrument that can do pretty much anything. The lows are tight and focused while still being absolutely massive. The mids are warm and punchy without being too harsh. The ceramic pickups will help you slice right through a mix full of distorted guitars, for example, and will put just the right amount of low-mids emphasis without being too nasally or having too much of that high-mids grind. The high-end is smooth and crystal clear. Mix and match the 2 pickups, 3-band EQ, and the 5-position pickup selector and you'll be ready to rock.

Renowned for its slightly smaller body and neck profile, the Sterling 4 string bass boasts a big sound. 9 volt active 3 band EQ preamp, 5 position pickup selector switch and a ceramic humbucker with hum-canceling phantom coil come standard on the Sterling, allowing this bass to cut through any mix. This one also includes a single-coil hum-canceling pickup in the neck position.
