Offset guitars are as popular these days as they've ever been, it seems. And we've got the one to rule them all. It is truly no exaggeration to say that every Anderson guitar that has come through our shop has been jaw-droppingly beautiful and amazing to play. They've quickly grown to become a shop favorite and we're pretty much all of the belief that "Tom Anderson can do no wrong." This Raven Classic only solidifies this unyielding faith and confidence in Tom Anderson. The guitar is made for the workhorse musician that needs something masterfully crafted, extremely versatile, and yet simple to use.
The pickups give you an immensely versatile tonal pallet. The guitar is certainly made with a rocker in mind, but the tone remains musical and balanced whether clean or distorted. Making this an HSH configuration only further adds to this versatility so this can truly be your one guitar to rule them all. The humbuckers will give you rich and meaty tones that remain punchy and articulate even when saturated heavily while that single-coil can provide you with ample twang and upper-end chime. You can also split the humbuckers and get virtually any combination of humbucking and single-coil configurations. You even get a neck + bridge and a middle single-coil only choice in the 3rd pickup position depending on the position of the push/pull pot. Rounding out the electronics package is the 3-way mini-toggle that, aside from alloing you to split the humbuckers, is also a VA Booster switch, which helps turn your pickups' output to 11 when engaged.
This is a true player's instrument. Ready for the studio or the stage, this could very well be your new Excalibur and be the only guitar you need to unsheath to slay your next gig or session. This Raven's got single-coil, humbucking, and humbucking on steroids sounds all in a thoroughly ready to rock package that looks, feels, and sounds incredible.

The Pickups
HC1: More neck humbucker saturation, output, and smoothness than HC1- while still retaining equilibrium for the neck position perfection. The quintessential mate for the medium-hot HC2 in the bridge position.
SC1: Slightly more than vintage level, single-coil sound, hum-canceling (great for neck and middle application).
HC3: The HC Series solution to hot output, with vintage character still nicely intact. Just pushes the front of the amp a touch more or when a bit more musical muscle is needed.
VA Booster
VA Booster is a no-battery powered color change for the pickups to which it is applied, approx. 4db on single coil-style pickups and split humbuckers. The boost's effect is less apparent on full-power humbucker pickups but lends a nice saturation and smoothness.
It is as if, with the flick of an unobtrusive mini-toggle switch (see photo), we rewind your pickups for a little more saturation and oomph while still retaining the same overall character, very nice.
Clicking the booster transitions the pickups to the next level, as though we put the “next hotter” set of pickups into your guitar
(Editor's note: VA Boost is subtle sweetness and saturation. It is not like a foot pedal embedded in your guitar. We find foot pedal level boost better applied and adjusted on the floor in front of your amp. The combination of VA Boost and your favorite pedal can be a magic one.)
