Player's Perspective

This is a great amp for an electric guitar. And a bass. And an acoustic guitar, too. Peavey's new VYPYR VIP series amps can do pretty much everything. Plenty of modeling amps are loaded up with tons of models and a huge array of effects, but these new Vypyr VIP amps have models for bass guitar and acoustic guitar as well. This gives you an enormous arsenal of sound at your disposal, but what's so cool about the VIP series is that you can use all of these great features as a compositional tool. Item Details

This Peavey Vypyr VIP 1 is a 20 watt amp packed to the brim with features. First things first: This amp is all about modeling. It has 36 different models, and here's the cool part: 6 are bass amp models and 6 are acoustic amp models. In addition to that, there are 25 on-board effects that can be used up to four at a time. Distortion, delay, chorus, reverb - you name it, this amp has it. The on-board looper (which you can activate with the Sanpera I or II footswitch, not included) works as a great compositional tool: Loop some electric riffs and then lay down a bass line and some acoustic harmonies underneath it. There is an AUX/MP3/CD input, studio quality headphone out, bi-directional USB data/midi/auto record out, tap tempo and 16 presets. Be sure to see below for the complete list of features.
