Player's Perspective

This guitar is a modern installment of the famously rich-toned HD-28 with a cutaway for upper fret access and a high quality pickup added to it.

A true re-creation of a classic with some refinements to bring it up to date, this guitar's homage to the past is novel rather than nostalgic. It has that classic old-school dreadnought response that can't be faked. There's a rich woody snap to the sound in all registers, and the low-end is especially delicious. In fact, this is one of the models that made dreadnoughts notorious for their incredible bass response. Strum a big open position chord, and you can feel the sound in your gut in a way that usually only happens with some type of amplification.

The neck is beefy but quite comfortable. Breakneck bluegrass, down home blues, open position folk strumming, country - the best players from all walks of life have used this guitar because it creates music and leaves the rest up to you.
